I recently had my debut solo in London at The Outsiders. Julianne Yates from Gallery Heist met me in London on Jan 10th and we spent ten days in London and Paris. -Brett Amory
We get to The Outsiders gallery on Greek street around 11am and start hanging the show.
The gallery store has a lot of great prints and books. The walls are wallpapered with Failes art. Very cool.
Emily Lake Outsiders manager, Alex Smith exhibition coordinator and crazy woman.
The basement of the shop is called the Dungeon this is where I will be showing.
We head over Lazarides off Rathbone for a gallery tour. The gallery has five floors including a basement where print production takes place. Quite the operation.
They were in the middle of installing Doug Fosters show which opens on Jan 20th.
Little Invader piece on the stairwell going down to the basement.
This is where they make all their prints and keep inventory.
Bansky piece chilling in the back..
Ralph Taylor director, Alex Smith exhibition coordinator, Victoria Al-Din and Chris Ford sales
Third and fouth floor is where buisness goes down. They have the best office. Everywhere you look you see great art. Julianne and I were in awe...
Yvette Jones chief operating officer
Lars Fassinger handles print production gets himself done up.. Notice the invader piece on the back wall..
Above the main office on the fouth floor one of Steves friends has a salon.
We jump on the tube to go meet up Conor Harrington and Chloe Early.
Conor and Chloe both have studios in this really big industrial building where Vhils and Dface also work. There were some nice pieces on the outside of the building.
We check out Chloe’s studio first. She was working on a pretty large piece that was looking really good. This use to be Connors studio. Check out the wall behind the painting. Lots of buildup left behind.
Conors studio was down the hall. It's freakin huge.
A whole lot of Montana...
Massive Conor piece down the street..
Stopped by the National Portrait Gallery. Got to see some really nice Sargeants.
We arrive a half hour late to my opening and it is already packed.
