Tell us about your current show?
"Lucian's Pre-segmentalation din-dins" at the Newcross gallery London. A solo showing of new paintings and prints on my favoured subject matter, dog contact, beheadings and vague meat cross-sections.
How do you go about creating a piece?
Usually starts with a stolen photo. I'll cut or crop the bit I want and then paint/draw onto that. As most of my drawings are quite long in shape, and the images usually feature dogs and women, I often feel like more of a pervert than an artist.
Animal's bodies, blitzkriegs, hills, triangles, trees, Dr Suess, car crashes, smoke plumes, meat, Brian Eno, mushrooms
Tools of the trade?
Point 88s, Bic crystal mediums , Apple Powered Book, Beltons, Pentel Brushpens, Acrylics and Double tall lattes to go.
Currently working on a short film called "Pudland" with the talented men at Flat-E and George Lucas* that should be out in the next couple of months with an accompanying exhibition. I have work going in several group shows here in the UK as well as some planned collaborations with other artists/photographers. Apart from that will be concentrating on bettering my painting in order to gain more wealth and power.
