Tell us a little bit about your work.
I tend to think of Art as an exploratory process and as a result you will see allot of diversity in my work, I will typically work on a theme/style for a number of months all the while kinda thinking about the next thing. I will revisit my old processes and further refine them, this has allowed me to see an evolution in my work that has been extremely gratifying.... Bla Bla Bla
I was lucky enough to be a student of William Cumming (the last living Artist from the NW school, i.e Morris Graves, Mark Tobey, Kenneth Callahan etc..) in the early 80's! That guy really got the ball rolling and it never stopped... I also Love the work of folks like: Degas, Bacon, Schiele, Goya, Klee, Nerdrum, Lautrec, Etc. Etc......
Describe your process for creating a new piece.
I generally like to live with the idea/drawing stage for a couple of days revisiting it and refining it till its paint time... then I still try to keep the work fluid and changeable all throughout... I am always willing to blow it up if it makes it better!
