Last Thursday we stopped by Minna downtown to view this 4 person show featuring artists from Vancouver, Brooklyn, Portland, and wherever Bill Dunlap is from (his bio is a tad vague)... The opening was a mellow affair and the work very well done. Thee Ohsees were playing with Kelly Stoltz and Sonny Smith down at the Eagle this same evening. That's a hard show to turn down. Had we known we may have opted for that epic musical affair too. The show is up all month. That great live show is a one night only... We did though enjoy the work and the cold tall 22oz bottles of Newcastle.
Some piggy wheatpaste action out font.
Artists John Casey and Derek Weisberg talked with us about the upcoming Oakland verdict. Hopefully no riots.
BKA talked about his new hat.
Jeremy Fish talked about his pizza party shirt by Travis Millard
And now onto the art.
Jessica Delorme - Vancouver based artist
Chrissy Angliker
CHRISSY ANGLIKER - Born in Zurich, Switzerland, her earliest ambitions were to grow to to be a stunt-woman…and to make art. From a very young age she experimented with stone, clay, and found objects among other materials. Chrissy has developed a profound understanding of three-dimensional design, relationships between objects, and creating character through form. During her studies at Pratt Institute, Chrissy won many national and international design awards. She was selected for numerous juried shows, including ICFF.
Erin McCarty has arty in her name.
ERIN MCCARTY - My work embraces bold color, texture, and pattern to illustrate the radiant beauty of environments and creatures both real and imagined. Emotive, celebratory, and personal, my work reflects the honest enthusiasm I have for my subject matter. Above anything else, I communicate the excitement, grandeur, and terror of human life and the unknown. The marriage of seemingly opposing forces has always been of great interest to me (the earthly & celestial, adoration & violence, loneliness & communion), and much of my work explores relating themes of duality. Humans, plants, and animals existing as a single entity is another important ongoing narrative within my work.

It was a mellow turnout, and we're always the last to leave.
